It’s been a hot minute since I’ve reached for a Kool-Aid packet at the grocery store. However, thanks to the viral pink lemonade fudge recipe that’s blown up on TikTok, that’s no longer the case.

Made with nothing more than melted white chocolate, a can of sweetened condensed milk, a packet of pink lemonade-flavored Kool-Aid and your favorite color of sprinkles, pink lemonade fudge is sweet, sour and fun!

Bonus: As demonstrated by TikTok creator @patrickzeinali, the recipe is so easy it can be whipped up on an airplane. We’ll take that as proof that this is also a great kid-friendly recipe, perfect for even the littlest of test tasters in your kitchen.

How to Make Pink Lemonade Fudge

Ingredients to make Pink Lemonade Fudge

Ingredients

  • 3 cups white chocolate chips
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 (.23-ounce) packet pink lemonade Kool-Aid drink mix
  • Sprinkles, for decoration

Directions

Step 1: Melt the white chocolate

Melting White Chocolate in Glass Bowl

Add the white chocolate to a microwave-safe mixing bowl. Place in the microwave and warm in 30-second intervals at 50% power, stirring after each time until the chips have melted to a smooth, silky consistency. In testing, our white chocolate required a total of six 30-second intervals (3 minutes total) to melt it to the right consistency.

Editor’s Tip: White chocolate is easy to ruin in the microwave so have patience and melt it low and slow. Do not be tempted to melt the chocolate at full power since this can cause the chocolate to seize, giving it a dry and lumpy texture. Keep in mind that the total time you’ll need to melt the chocolate in the microwave will vary depending on your microwave’s wattage. If you’re nervous, try one of these other chocolate melting methods.

Step 2: Combine the ingredients

Mixing Melted White Chocolate with Pink Lemonade Powder and Sweetened Condensed Milk in a Glass Bowl

Working quickly, while the chocolate is still warm, add the sweetened condensed milk and pink lemonade powder. Stir using a rubber spatula until the mixture has an even pink hue throughout. There should be no visible white streaks.

Step 3: Spread, sprinkle and set

A Glass Dish with Pink Lemonade Fudge Topped with Rainbow Sprinkles ready to be cut into Cubes

Pour the mixture into a parchment-lined baking dish or glass food storage container and spread into an even layer. Sprinkle the surface generously with your choice of sprinkles and then cover tightly. Leave the fudge to set at room temperature for 2-3 hours until firm to the touch.

Editor’s Tip: We used a glass food storage container like this, but an 8×8-inch baking pan would also work. Your fudge will simply be a little shorter than ours once cut.

Step 4: Cut and serve

Cubes of Pink Lemonade Fudge with Sprinkles in a Pretty Plate

Once set, carefully remove the fudge from the pan and use a sharp knife to cut it into 1-inch cubes. Enjoy!

Tips for Making Pink Lemonade Fudge

Why did my microwave fudge not set?

Fudge failing to set properly is a common fudge mistake. With microwave fudge, the temperature of your kitchen is likely to blame for fudge that remains too soft. If your kitchen is on the warm side, place the fudge in the refrigerator to let it finish setting no more than 30 minutes. Failing to properly melt your white chocolate by warming it too much or not enough can also cause your fudge to not fully set.

Can you let fudge set in the refrigerator?

We do not recommend setting this fudge in the refrigerator (unlike this 5-ingredient fudge). Setting this particular fudge in a refrigerator cools it too quickly and can cause it to crystallize and develop a grainy texture. For this reason, we recommend setting pink lemonade fudge at room temperature and only resorting to the refrigerator for a few minutes to firm up the fudge just before cutting if your kitchen is too warm for it to set completely on its own.

How to store fudge?

This fudge (and fudge made the old-fashioned way) should be stored in an airtight container or wrapped tightly in plastic wrap. Fudge can be stored at room temperature for 1 to 2 weeks.

What can I top my pink lemonade fudge with?

While we opted to decorate our pink lemonade fudge with rainbow sprinkles, it’s far from the only option. Try drizzling with additional melted white chocolate or add extra tartness with a sprinkle of sour Nerds!

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, now is the time to stock up on baking supplies and ingredients for all those anticipated sweet treats. But what if you’re not a big baker or you’re on a budget? Don’t worry—you can still whip up something festive and delicious, like a two-ingredient strawberry fudge! Its sweet strawberry flavor and melt-in-your-mouth texture are hard to resist, as is its precious pink color. Try the super-simple recipe yourself using the method below!

How to Make Strawberry Frosting Fudge

This recipe only takes about 10 minutes of active cook time and less than $10 to make. You will need to chill the fudge for a couple of hours, so be sure to plan ahead.

Supplies

  • 8-inch square baking pan
  • Parchment paper
  • Large, microwave-safe bowl
  • Spoon

Ingredients

  • 2 2/3 cups white chocolate morsels
  • 12 ounces of store-bought strawberry frosting
  • Pink and red sprinkles (optional)

Directions

Step 1: Prep the dish

Line the baking dish with parchment paper, so that the fudge can be easily removed later.

Step 2: Combine ingredients

Add the chocolate morsels and strawberry frosting to the large bowl. Microwave the mixture for 90 seconds at 70% power. Remove the bowl and stir the mixture, letting the residual heat from the microwave melt the chocolate chips.

If necessary, continue microwaving for 15-second intervals, stirring thoroughly between each zap. The mixture should be smooth and creamy, fully melted without lumps.

Pro tip: Make sure not even a single drop of water gets into your chocolate mixture, as this can stun it and mess up the tempering process.

Step 3: Assemble the fudge

Scrape the fudge mixture out into the prepared pan and use the back of the spoon to spread it evenly. If desired, top with sprinkles while the mixture is still at room temperature.

Step 4: Pop it in the fridge

Let chill for two hours, or until the fudge is completely firm.

Cut into squares and serve!

Homemade fudge is an all-time favorite potluck dessert, no matter the occasion. But sometimes, this treat can be too sweet. Luckily, Ree Drummond aka The Pioneer Woman has the perfect solution: a Sweet & Salty Fudge recipe.

Made with just five ingredients, we put this Pioneer Woman fudge recipe to the test. It uses chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk for an easy two-ingredient fudge base. Then, it’s topped with peanut butter, kettle chips and pretzels for a great take on salty and sweet.

How to Make The Pioneer Woman’s Fudge

a bowl of chocolate chips, a bowl of peanut butter, a bowl of chips and a can of condensed milk

Ingredients

  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup kettle chips, lightly crushed
  • 1/2 cup thin pretzel sticks, lightly crushed

Directions

Step 1: Melt the chocolate chips

melted chocolate chips for Pioneer Woman fudge

Line a square baking pan with aluminum foil, then grease the foil with cooking spray.

In a medium saucepan, combine the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Melt the chocolate chips on low, stirring frequently, until the mixture is smooth.

Step 2: Pour, top and set

a pan of sweet and salty Pioneer Woman fudge

Spread the melted chocolate mixture into the baking pan. Use a spatula to smooth the top. Drop spoonfuls of peanut butter on top and use a skewer or butter knife to swirl the peanut butter into the chocolate. Sprinkle the crushed chips and pretzels over top.

Let the fudge cool for 30 minutes on the counter. Then transfer it to the fridge for one hour to set.

Once set, remove the fudge from the fridge and lift it out of the pan. Peel the foil from the sides and cut the fudge into small squares.

Here’s What I Thought

Pioneer Woman Fudge 3 2 Gettyimages 156649535 Molly Allen For Toh Jvedit

The Pioneer Woman is known for homemade desserts, like her fantastic Knock You Naked Brownies and Chocolate Pie, and this recipe certainly stacks up! I was surprised by how easy it was to throw this fudge together. It truly only took 15 minutes of prep time. But it’s important to note that you do need to work fast. The fudge mixture begins to set quickly, so have the peanut butter and salty toppings ready to add right away.

Overall, this Pioneer Woman fudge is incredibly delicious. It’s hard to stop at one (or two) pieces! While the crushed chips and pretzels do add a touch of salt and great texture, I wanted more salt to balance out the sweetness. Next time I make this recipe, I may try it with a sprinkle of flaked sea salt as well. Another change? Spreading the mixture into the foil-lined pan as directed was easy enough. However, next time I’ll swap the foil for parchment paper to make for easier cutting and a nicer presentation.

I stored my fudge in an airtight container on the countertop. This is the perfect recipe to have on hand when you need a quick treat or want to wrap up a batch as a gift.

Whipping up a batch of old-fashioned fudge involves a lot of specialty tools and closely watched pots—a fun time when you’re in the mood for it, but not if you want fudge fast. So imagine our delight at discovering this two-ingredient fudge recipe! Not only does this no-fail candy require literally two ingredients, but it also comes together in minutes. No fiddly candy-making tools needed.

Once the mixture is cooled and sliced, you’ll have a batch of luscious, smooth chocolate fudge that’s wonderful for wrapping up as a gift, selling at a bake sale or storing in your secret candy stash.

2-Ingredient Fudge Recipe

When made in an 8×8-inch baking pan, this recipe can be sliced into 36 pieces that are 3/4-inch thick.

Ingredients for 2-Ingredient Fudge

2 Ingredient Fudge Ingredients

  • 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
  • 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

Step 1: Prepare your pan

Cut two 8-inch-wide pieces of wax paper or parchment paper that are long enough to extend over the edges of the pan. Fit the pieces cross-wise over each other in the pan. (This way you can lift the fudge from the pan when it’s ready.)

Step 2: Combine the chocolate and condensed milk

Chocolate Chips And Condensed Milk For 2 Ingredient Fudge

Pour the sweetened condensed milk into a heavy, medium-sized saucepan. Heat the milk on the stovetop over medium heat until it’s warm—this will only take a minute or two. Pour in the chocolate chips, and stir them into the condensed milk until they’re completely melted. The mixture will be thick.

Step 3: Let the fudge set up

2 Ingredient Fudge In Pan

Pour the fudge mixture into the lined baking pan. Use the back of a spoon or a rubber spatula to smooth the mixture evenly into the pan. Allow the fudge to cool for two hours.

Editor’s Tip: If you want the fudge to be really flat, smooth a piece of plastic wrap over the top before you let it cool.

Step 4: Slice the fudge

2 Ingredient Fudge sliced into squares

Use the edges of the parchment or wax paper to lift the fudge from the pan. Peel the paper off and place the fudge on a cutting board. Use a sharp knife to slice the fudge into 36 pieces.

2-Ingredient Fudge Variations

Since this two-ingredient fudge is so easy, we’re sharing a few fun twists!

  • Cherry hazelnut fudge: Make the recipe as above. When the chocolate chips are melting into the warm condensed milk, stir in 1 cup of chopped, dried cherries and 1/2 cup of toasted, chopped hazelnuts. Spoon the mixture into the pan and let cool for two hours before slicing.
  • White chocolate fudge: Reduce the sweetened condensed milk to 1 cup and warm it in a saucepan. Stir in 3 cups of white chocolate chips until they’re melted and smooth. Spoon the mixture into the pan, and allow it to cool and set for four hours or overnight.
  • White chocolate peanut butter cup fudge: Make the white chocolate fudge as above. Then, when the white chocolate chips are melted, gently stir in 1-1/2 cups of chopped mini peanut butter cups (that’s about 25 mini PB cups). Spoon it into the pan and let the fudge cool and set for four hours or overnight.

How to Store 2-Ingredient Fudge

Store your fudge in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week. If you plan to keep the fudge for longer than one week (good luck with that), move it to the refrigerator. There, it can last for two to three weeks.

2-Ingredient Fudge Tips

What happens if I overcook fudge?

Overheating this two-ingredient fudge can take some of the moisture content out of the final product. If the fudge is overcooked, it might turn out crumbly and hard rather than silky.

Are you supposed to stir fudge?

With classic old-fashioned fudge, you don’t want to stir because it could lead to grainy fudge. Because this two-ingredient fudge doesn’t contain granulated sugar nor does it need to come to a boil, the chocolate chips should be stirred into the sweetened condensed milk right away.

Whether you enjoy a piece of fudge during the holidays or have a favorite flavor at one of the best fudge shops in America, this old-fashioned sweet is the perfect treat. Its rich, creamy texture and delicious flavor are unmatched. Plus, there are so many types of fudge to experiment with.

But despite all the creative flavor options (such as birthday cake fudge or black cherry swirl), there’s one popular type of fudge that has stood the test of time. It’s fantasy fudge, a back-of-the-package recipe that became a family tradition for countless households. And after making this old recipe, we see why it’s a classic!

What Is Fantasy Fudge?

The original recipe for fantasy fudge made its debut on the back of a jar of marshmallow creme fluff. It combines chocolate chips with creamy marshmallow for a delicious bite. Even better? It’s dotted with chopped walnuts for added flavor and texture. The original recipe no longer lives on the marshmallow creme label, but it does live on in recipe boxes everywhere.

How to Make the Original Fantasy Fudge

Original Fantasy Fudge ingredients on a marble kitchen counter

Ingredients

  • 3 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cup margarine
  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 jar marshmallow creme
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Tools You’ll Need

  • Dutch Oven: It’s important to heat the fudge base evenly. Use a heavy pot, such as a Dutch oven, for the best heat distribution while the sugar mixture is boiling.
  • Silicone Spatula: You’ll only need one spoon or spatula throughout the process of making this fudge. Be sure to use a sturdy, heat-resistant option.
  • 13×9 Pan: Spread your fudge into a prepared 13×9-inch pan as the ideal mold for this recipe.

Directions

Step 1: Boil the fudge base

Original Fantasy Fudge recipe step

Prep a 13×9-inch pan by lining it with parchment paper or greasing it with cooking spray. In a large pot over medium heat, add the sugar, margarine and evaporated milk. Stir to dissolve the sugar, and then bring the mixture to a boil for 5 minutes and stir constantly.

Step 2: Add the chocolate and marshmallow creme

Original Fantasy Fudge step; adding chocolate chips

Remove the pot from the heat and add in the chocolate chips. Stir until the chocolate chips are fully melted. Then mix in the marshmallow creme, walnuts and vanilla.

Original Fantasy Fudge step; mix in marshmallow creme

Step 3: Transfer and set

Spread the fudge into the prepared pan. Allow it to fully cool and set, about two hours, before cutting into small squares.

Here’s What I Thought

Original Fantasy Fudge bars arranged on a white dish

Truth be told, despite my love for baked goods, fudge has never been a treat I’ve had much interest in. I’ve often found it a bit too dense and rich for my liking, and I had never actually made my own batch at home. Until now! And I’m sure glad I did.

This no-fail fantasy fudge recipe 100 percent lives up to its name—and I can see why it has lived on for decades. The addition of the marshmallow creme makes it so fluffy, and it just melts in your mouth. It’s not too dense or too rich. The flavor is spot-on, and I love the addition of chopped walnuts for added texture. Even better? If you’re a novice fudge-maker, like me, it’s absolutely achievable in a few easy steps. No fancy tools, no candy thermometer required.

How to Store Fudge

Homemade fudge can last for quite a while when stored properly. Wrap up your extras and keep them in the fridge or freezer in an airtight container. That way, you’ll have delicious fudge ready and on hand to pull out for a sweet treat whenever a craving hits!

Whenever possible, my sister and I like to visit the Wisconsin Dells—it’s a Midwest staple, if you’ve never heard of it. Between water parks, cheese shops and specialty coffee stores, there’s a lot to do. But our favorite place to hit up every time we go is the fudge shop. I want to sample mint fudge, peanut butter fudge, dark chocolate raspberry fudge, you name it and I’m there!

I couldn’t visit the fudge shop this year, though, so I figured I’d wrestle the task myself. That’s why I’m delving straight into this Christmas sugar cookie fudge recipe from @kaitlinquick.

@kaitlinquick2021 IMPROVED CHRISTMAS COOKIE FUDGE RECIPE!!! 🎄🍫 #baking #christmas♬ Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) – Michael Bublé

What’s in This Christmas Sugar Cookie Fudge Recipe?

It’s got everything you need for a jolly good time all rolled into one delicious little square! It’s white chocolate and sugar cookie goodness with more Christmas sprinkles than you ever thought possible. Need I say more? If you want to tackle this recipe, here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1-1/2 cups white chocolate chips
  • 1-1/4 cup sugar cookie mix
  • 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
  • Red and green sprinkles
  • 11×7 glass baking pan
  • Waxed paper

Editor’s Tip: Find the best white chocolate chips, according to our Test Kitchen.

How to Make It at Home

Mix Your Ingredients

Take your white baking chips and throw them into a pot on your stove. Add the sugar cookie mix and stir. When that’s combined, add your can of sweetened condensed milk and mix again.

Make sure not to use heat while mixing these ingredients!

Melt Your Concoction

After all of the ingredients have been combined, turn your burner on low heat and stir continuously. Don’t leave your fudge to its own devices—if it’s not stirred constantly, it may burn. Once it’s completely melted, turn off your burner.

Sprinkle and Refrigerate

With the heat off, add your festive sprinkles and stir combine. Line your baking pan with wax paper and pour the fudge mix into the baking pan. Then refrigerate for 30 minutes, remove, cut and enjoy. If you’re a big fan of this Christmas sugar cookie fudge recipe, then these Santa’s Trash cookies should be next on your holiday to-do list!

Birthday Cake Fudge Tips

How do you store fudge?

Have leftovers? Storing fudge is simple. Place birthday cake fudge in an airtight container and store in a cool, dry place for about a week. If you're looking to keep it fresh for longer, fudge is a good food to freeze. Wrap the fudge tightly and freeze for up to a year.

How do I keep the baking melts from seizing?

A drop or two of water can cause your baking melts to seize and the batter can become gritty. To prevent this, make sure your mixing bowl and tools are completely dry.

What are some other birthday fudge variations?

Fudge recipes, like this one, are easy to customize. If you're making this recipe as a gift, change up the sprinkles to suit the theme or the party or a person's favorite colors. You can also experiment by adding different chopped nuts or dried fruits into the mix.

Chocolate Pecan Fudge Tips

What exactly is fudge, anyway?

Fudge is an easy no-bake dessert. At its core, all fudge contains sugar, butter and milk. While some traditional fudge recipes call for boiling instructions, we like to show cooks how to make fudge in the microwave, as it's easier to master.

Does fudge have to be chocolate?

No. While chocolate might be one of the most popular types of fudge, there are many other delicious flavors to try. Some of our favorite fudge recipes include peanut butter, peppermint and butter pecan.

Can I use other nuts in my chocolate pecan fudge?

We love this fudge recipe as it's very customizable to your taste. Try using chopped almonds, walnuts, peanuts or even hazelnuts instead of pecans. Toast before using for the best flavor.

Three-Chocolate Fudge

I make this fudge at Christmastime to give to friends and neighbors. That tradition started years ago when I made more candy than my husband, three sons and I could eat, so we shared it. It’s a tasty tradition I’m glad to continue. —Betty Grantham, Hanceville, Alabama

    Fudge Tips

What are the basic ingredients for fudge?

The basic ingredients required for old-fashioned fudge are sugar, butter and milk, which is then heated to the soft-ball stage. Quick fudge, like this recipe, typically includes marshmallow fluff or condensed milk. Other ingredients—chocolate, caramel, fruits, nuts and more—are commonly added, too, like in these irresistible fudge recipes.

Why is my fudge not hardening?

Quick fudge typically sets well, as long as you follow the simple steps on how to make fudge. But if you're struggling with old-fashioned fudge not setting up, it might be because it wasn't heated to a high enough temperature during cooking. This is likely a result of either user error or an inaccurate candy thermometer. Be sure to heat your fudge to the right temperature, usually between 237°F and 240°, and double-check your candy thermometer.

    Why is my fudge crumbly?

If you're having issues with your fudge coming out crumbly, it's likely that you're overcooking the sugar. Doing so will make the mixture unable to retain enough water, resulting in fudge that has a dry, crumbly texture. Here are more common fudge mistakes and how to fix them.

How do you make fudge more quickly?

The speediest way to whip up fudge is opting for a shortcut method, like the microwave, with shortcut ingredients, like condensed milk or marshmallow fluff, rather than the slow, traditional stovetop technique.

    How long will fudge last?

When layered in between pieces of waxed paper and stored in an airtight container, fudge will last for 1 to 2 weeks at room temperature and 2 to 3 weeks in the refrigerator. If you want to freeze fudge, wrap it up in waxed paper and aluminum foil, and then keep in an airtight container, where it will last for up to a year. Here's more about how to store fudge properly.

    Sugar-Free Chocolate Fudge Tips

    How do you store fudge?

Most fudge can be stored at room temperature in an airtight container. But since this recipe contains a high amount of dairy, it should be refrigerated.

Is there an easy way to cut fudge?

To cut fudge easily, first remove it from the pan and place it on a cutting board. (This is the best wood for cutting boards, according to our Test Kitchen.) Using a long sharp knife dipped in hot water and then wiped on a towel, cut the fudge into cubes. Some soft fudges can also be easily cut with unflavored dental string! Dental string also works for cutting cake layers.

Can you make this fudge dairy-free?

To make this sugar-free fudge recipe dairy-free, simply substitute your favorite vegan or dairy-free cream cheese in the same weight amounts.

How can I make this fudge my own?

Punch up a basic fudge recipe by adding your favorite flavors. You can experiment with adding different nuts, dried fruit, coconut flakes, chocolate chips, or different extracts. Peppermint extract makes for a minty twist on the recipe!

    White Chocolate Fudge https://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/white-chocolate-fudge/ Fri, 15 Sep 2017 01:13:00 +0000 http://origin-www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/white-chocolate-fudge/
This recipe is similar to one of my favorite dark fudge recipes. I'll frequently make my white fudge to give as gifts for Christmas and Valentine's Day. It's an interesting contrast to all of the darker candies—and the cream cheese gives it such a nice rich and creamy texture! My husband and I live on the farm where he was born and raised. We have five children, ranging in age from 17 to 7. I enjoy playing the organ, singing, reading, walking and may crafts.

    Butterscotch Fudge Tips

Can you melt butterscotch chips in the microwave?

You can melt butterscotch chips in the microwave, but for this recipe, it would be an extra step. We recommend stirring the chips and marshmallows in the boiling mixture, which will melt them as you stir. Have leftover chips to spare? Use them up in these recipes that start with a bag of butterscotch chips.

What happens if my butterscotch chips seized?

Seizing happens when any bit of water comes in contact with your butterscotch chips. (This can happen when you're melting chocolate, too!). The biggest culprit is wet baking equipment. Wondering if your chips seized? Seized butterscotch chips will create a gritty texture. Thankfully, you can fix this pretty easily. Add a teaspoon of boiling water, one at a time, while mixing until the melted chips are smooth again.

Why is my fudge too hard?

Hard fudge is a very common candy mistake. Your fudge could be too hard because it was overcooked or it didn't cool down properly (fudge is finicky that way). To fix, mix a cup of water with the fudge mixture in a saucepan at low heat. Stir until the water dissolves then boil. Wash off the sides of the saucepan to prevent sugar crystals from forming. Once complete, follow the recipe's baking and cooling instructions.

Can you use evaporated milk instead of condensed milk?
