Ingredients

  • 1 package (22 ounces) frozen waffle fries
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1 envelope taco seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 8 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup dill pickle slices
  • 3/4 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 medium tomato, seeded and chopped
  • 1/4 cup secret burger sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon prepared mustard

Directions

  1. Bake fries according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink, 5-7 minutes, breaking into crumbles; drain. Return to pan. Add water and taco seasoning. Cook and stir until sauce thickens, about 3 minutes.
  2. Transfer fries to a 10-in. cast-iron or other ovenproof skillet. Top with seasoned ground beef, shredded cheese and bacon. Return to oven until cheese is melted, about 5 minutes. Top with pickles, lettuce and tomato. Drizzle with secret sauce, ketchup and mustard.
Cheeseburger Nachos Tips

Can you use tortilla chips instead of waffle fries to make cheeseburger nachos?

You can definitely swap out the waffle fries for tortilla chips when making cheeseburger nachos! Either buy a bag of your favorite brand, or make your own homemade tortilla chips instead.

What other toppings can you put on cheeseburger nachos?

Try loading up your cheeseburger nachos with extra toppings such as sesame seeds, sliced onions or other tasty burger garnishes.

What order should you put the toppings on cheeseburger nachos?

It's important to put your cheese on first before adding the toppings. Doing so will give the toppings a melty surface to stick to, so nothing will slide off when you're trying to eat it. Once the cheese is on, add the toppings in whatever order you'd like. Check out these cheeseburger recipes for more inspiration.
